The "2024 International Seminar on Circular Economy" was held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on May 18, 2024. The event was organized by "Taiwan-Indonesia Science and Technology Innovation Center (STIC)." The keynote speeches in the seminar were delivered by several distinguished experts, including Ho Lin (Jack), Ph.D., Executive Director of the Science & Technology Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Australia; Dr. Ajeng, Director of the Research and Innovation Funding at Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN); Dr. Asih, Member of the Indonesian Young Academy of Sciences (ALMI); and Professor Tengku from the University of Indonesia. The event attracted approximately 40 experts from academic and government representatives from Indonesia, as well as Taiwan Tech alumni. In his speech, Ho Lin (Jack), Ph.D. emphasized that Indonesia is an important partner for Taiwan and expressed hope to establish a solid cooperation mechanism between STIC and BRIN to promote scientific and technological exchanges between the two countries. Dr. Ajeng also pledged to promote bilateral cooperation actively. Additionally, our center participated in the "2024 Indonesia-Taiwan Expo" held in Jakarta from May 15 to 18. The Center collaborated with several Taiwanese companies involved in the circular economy and resilient disaster prevention industry, including Revivegen, P-waver, and Sanlian Technology, to showcase Taiwan's R&D technologies.
