Natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, and environmental catastrophes significantly impact the lives and ecosystems of regions worldwide. Taiwan and the Philippines are particularly vulnerable to such events due to their geographical locations along the Pacific Ring of Fire. Hence, organizing an international conference focused on understanding and managing these disasters in the context of Taiwan and the Philippines is of paramount importance. We aim to bring together earth and environmental science researchers from different institutes all over Taiwan and the Philippines for this knowledge exchange.
