On June 3, 2025, our center (TI-STIC) welcomed representatives from Binus University (Indonesia) and NTNU's Department of Chinese as a Second Language delegation for a visit to Taiwan Tech. Binus Medan Campus expressed strong interest in academic collaboration with Taiwan Tech Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering. Both sides discussed potential cooperation models including student exchanges, short-term programs, and dual degree initiatives. Professor Che-Chou Shen, Vice Dean of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, welcomed the proposal and noted its strong potential. The discussion also touched on possible funding support and joint research. Binus Medan, set to open in late 2025, is the only Binus campus currently pursuing institutional partnerships with Taiwan.
